Fall Risk Assessment

FIPAR utilizes a customized and comprehensive fall risk screening tool to identify individual risk factors for a fall. Our FIPAR fall risk screening tool is used in conjunction with a comprehensive physical exam and medication review to evaluate fall risks and acute and chronic medical conditions that can lead to a fall. FIPAR also uses gait analysis testing to further assess and evaluate the manner or style of walking.

Comprehensive Physical Examination

Individuals served include older persons, and individuals with disabilities and movement disorders. A comprehensive physical examination provides valuable information regarding chronic health conditions and their impact on falls. As part of the examinations, medications are reviewed and gait testing is performed to determine an individual’s risk for falls.
